Montgomery, located in both Fayette and Kanawha Counties, is a hub of business and education opportunities for the surrounding communities as well as its own population of approximately 2,000.  


A major employer and source of quality care is Montgomery General Hospital. City National Bank and United National Bank have branches within Montgomery. Brown’s Chevrolet dealership and many other small businesses operate in this municipality.


West Virginia University Institute of Technology is a regional campus of WVU offering 4-year degrees in fields such as Engineering, Nursing, Printing Management, Business Management and more.

Bridgemont Community and Technical College in Montgomery offers Associates of Science and Associates of Applied Science degrees in fields such as business and engineering technology.


Montgomery Swimming Pool and River Park offers an outdoor swimming pool, full-size basketball court, gazebo, picnic tables, jungle gym and swings. The park is open from dawn until dusk.  Morris Drive Park offers full-size basketball court, picnic tables and swings, and is open from dawn until dusk. Montgomery Wayside Park is a memorial for veterans of foreign wars.

Upper Kanawha Valley Economic Development Corporation’s home office is located in Montgomery. Amtrak provides service to Montgomery on their Cardinal route which connects New York Penn Station to Chicago Union Station. The National Publishing Innovation Center is located in Montgomery, operated by Bridgemont Community and Technical College with a state-of-the-art press simulation system, making the Bridgemont CTC Print Management degree one of only a few in the nation.
